Ancient sunrise! The shot was taken at Sounio, Greece. I have used a refractor telescope coupled with a Barlow lens which doubles the magnification of the telescope. At the foreground, the ancient temple of Poseidon. Note the green flash at upper part of the Sun. The green flash is an optical phenomenon that is visible during the sunrise or sunset. The duration varies from a fraction of a second to a couple of seconds. The distance from the temple is approximately 4 kilometers therefore, the apparent size of the ancient structure is small compared with the apparent size of the Sun.
